Born in Miaoli in 1983, and grew up in Tainan, Taiwan. Taiwan Emerging Artist 2015. Artist / Architect/ Brand designer/ Founder of Chinese calligraphy Association.
The evolution of Western Art comes from toppling current thinking, different from the evolution of Eastern Art which focuses on “learning from the teacher. My works are inspired by traditional Chinese culture and Buddhist thinking. I only care about how my views are represented, and how the essence of my works are presented.”Personal emotion” is not important at all, and pretentious art styles do not exist in my works.
My extensive experience and training in Chinese calligraphy, classical painting, sculpture,as well as brand and architectural design will assist in making me become a well-rounded artist. I have practiced Chinese calligraphy for 24 years, taught it for 7 years and have also undergone rigorous training for literati painting and Western painting. This has led to me into the world of sculpting. Now, Architectural design has become my way of practicing “the arts”. Arts and architecture are both my areas of focus.Truth is the result of exploration and discovery. If we believe what our eyes tell us, we will miss out on the truth. “HUA FEI HUA ” is extended from the work- “Tongpa”.
The concept of how the“parental love”is It is my purpose to explore more about human relationships, and more life experience is needed to understand my works. The concept of being “reborn” is covered in my work. true, knowing that children will learn to become independent and then leave the family is expressed in the work. (Reborn).
The works also are about the experience of living after returning to the “beginning state of mind”(The very beginning mind) and how both teachers and students improve themselves by learning from each other(Giving). In the past, My Bird-and-flower paintings were shown in an abstract form and not in a “concrete manner”.
To show my skills in line drawing through these works is a major reason for this exhibition. However, I insist on not “drawing photographically” but instead insist on drawing by conceptualizing personal perception such as by using the painting of flowers as a metaphor to describe different kinds of human relationships. Why is “line-drawing” in the works? Line drawing is an important drawing technique, The basis of chinese drawing is to represent objects completely by using lines. This technique has the same roots with calligraphy. The move of peculiar, beautiful and simple lines of drawing gives people sensuous enjoyment.
