GIN HUANG Gallery is happy to invite German artist Van Ray’s work to be exhibited in Taiwan, which is his very first solo exhibition “Van Ray Solo Show” in Asia. The artist uses antiques from the early 19th to 20th centuries as a base for creation, and uses the concept of time and history to combine with contemporary images.
In the midsummer of 2020, GIN HUANG Gallery Taichung Space is pleased to present the "MR+" private collection. The "MR+" private collection is from British artist George Morton-Clark, Spanish artist Javier Calleja, Japanese artist Tomokazu Matsuyama, Izumi Kato, and Sou Hirose. Male is respectfully called ”Mr.” in English. Nowadays, the style in contemporary art is constantly changing. Six male artists, who from the East and the West with completely different cultural backgrounds and ages, derive different styles such as rough and handsome, gorgeous and rich, colorful and interesting.
Igor Dobrowolski was born in Jelenia Góra, Poland. Dobrowolski’s work has been exhibited in Miami, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Berlin, Rzeszów and London and can be found in the private collections of numerous celebrities including Channing Tatum, Gigi Hadid, and Nicole Scherzinger. In recent years, artists have actively cooperated with different fields. Besides the fashion industry, Dobrowolski collaborated with internationally recognized band 5 Seconds of Summer for a live painting masterclass. In 2020, the artist held the first Asian solo exhibition at GIN HUANG Gallery, which has received great response and support. In 2021, Igor Dobrowolski will once again hold an solo exhibition at the GIN HUANG Gallery Taichung Space.
Van Ray's work reflect a fusion of street art, pop art and contemporary art - retaining the basic elements of his distinctive artistic style without loosing sight of his intended social criticism. His recent work makes use of various techniques, such as aerosol paint, acrylic paint, collage and decollage, on iron sheets, acrylic glass, wooden slats or retro vending machines.

In the meantime, the heartening notice is our venue import an amazing piece "The Other Lanny" already collected by an abroad collector before our opening. KINJO uses street graffiti elements as basement, combines abstractionism, impressionism, light and shadow elements to create different series of works, such as "Eyes Shining in the Dark", "Colorful Snake" and "Cereal package". The fuzzy contour and childlike lines show the artist's avant-garde creative style.
