GIN HUANG Gallery is pleased to inaugurate an incoming exhibition of new works by Australian artist Leigh Hewson-Bower, Laid-Back. The exhibition on view April 24 through July 13, 2018 raise the curtain for this glorious summer. As the delicate painting skill and the bright colour, Hewson-Bower has a reputation as one of Australia’s finest interpreters of coastal landscapes. In the summer of 2018, Leigh Hewson-Bower will bring the splendid ocean in Australia to GIN HUANG Gallery.

The exhibition continues the “seascape” which is well-known theme from the artist. Combining the refreshing Tiffany blue and the horizon of residents, the works present real and charming ocean. Hewson-Bower can flexibly apply not only the tone of color, but the characteristic of material. Through the texture of acrylic, artist applies multiple layers of acrylic paint that go from plain to very refined brushstrokes in order to create depth, transparency and realism. Diversified sea is captured instantaneously as Hewson-Bower’s high sensitivity to the composition of the picture and water. It reveals the tender of sea. Besides, artist shows great momentum, tranquil and immense from ocean in the canvas, as if you are really sitting at the beach, and staring at the boundless horizon.
